 The Moorhead Municipal Pool is currently under construction for Reimagine Romkey. It’s anticipated the pool will be closed for the 2025 season and be open in time for the 2026 season.

Neighborhood Wading Pools 

Closed for the Season

These five neighborhood wading pools are offered for youth ages 10 years and under. All children must be accompanied and closely supervised by an adult. Small flotation devices and toys are allowed. Food is not allowed inside the pool gates. There is no lifeguard on duty at these wading pools. No admission fee.

Riverview Estates Wading Pool 

 

Wading Pool Locations: Hansmann Park, Northeast Park, Ridgewood Park, Riverview Estates Park, and Village Green Park

 

 

October 21, 2024, South Park Wading Pool Update: We are sad to announce that the neighborhood wading pool at South Park, located near Ellen Hopkins School, will be demolished this week due to the deteriorated condition of the facility. The pool, built in the 1950s, has reached the end of its operational life and can no longer be maintained or repaired. While it is always difficult to say goodbye to a beloved community asset, this decision was made after careful assessment of the pool’s structural integrity, outdated equipment, and the significant cost of replacement. There is no plan to replace this amenity at this location but look forward to the New Municipal Pool currently under construction, opening in 2026. The Moorhead Parks & Recreation Advisory Board continues to study a long-range plan for Pools in Moorhead.

 

Wading Pool Rentals

Closed for the Season

Reservations for a Wading Pool must be made through the Parks and Recreation office at least seven business days in advance. Rentals will receive exclusive use of the pool. Flotation devices and water toys are allowed during rental time. Availability may vary depending on scheduled pool activities. Food is not allowed inside the pool gates. Lifeguards are not present during reservation time. Call 218.299.5340 to ask about rentals.

 

 

WEATHER GUIDELINES

Temperature: Must be 60°F and sunny or 65°F and cloudy for pools to open.

Lightning and Thunder: If severe weather is detected, everyone must clear the area immediately and take shelter. Pool will reopen 30 minutes after the last observed incident of lightning or thunder.
