The play elements include a 26-foot-high tree house with a rope bridge to another tower, a zip line, log and boulder areas, tunnels, play mounds, balance beams, nets and climbing areas.

To complete this project in its entirety, additional funds will be needed.  To donate to this effort see here:  Natural Playground Donations. 5-year pledges are available.

Reimagine Romkey

DonateBTN

Moorhead was selected by the National Parks Service to receive an “Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership” Program grant – one of five awards nationally. The $5 million grant will be matched by City funds and used to replace the community swimming pool and add other fun and modern recreational amenities to Romkey Park as proposed in the Reimagine Romkey plan.

An amenity that is shown but has not been funded at this point is the splashpad. Donations are needed for this amenity to be included in the project.

The City has two off-leash dog parks, one at River Oaks Park and one on 15 Avenue North in the Centennial Athletic Complex. Both need amenities that would enhance the park for users, such as benches, trees, agility equipment, signage, additional lighting for winter months, etc. Total project cost for the added amenities would be $25,000 for each location.
