On April 13 2025 at 0932 AM officers from the Moorhead Police Department responded to the 2700 block of 14 Street South for reported gun shots. Additional information was provided that someone had been reportedly struck by gunfire.
Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Life saving measures were unsuccessful and the male was pronounced deceased at the scene. Members of the pubic are being asked to stay away from the area, as the crime scene is still active. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been requested to assist with processing the homicide scene. Early information shows this does not appear to be a random act.
The Moorhead Police Department received information that the suspect was observed leaving the scene is a newer Chevrolet midsize SUV, light green in color. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on this vehicle can contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Cetner at 701.451.7660 and request to speak to a Moorhead Supervisor.
