National Welcome Week Community Social

The Moorhead Human Rights Commission and Inclusive Moorhead, in partnership with MState, and the support of West Central Initiative will host a community social immediately after the Greater Moorhead Days parade to celebrate National Welcome Week! Stop by for snacks, games, and music. Enjoy socializing with other great Moorhead folks!

Time: ~ 6:45 pm to 8 pm
Location: The social will be on the main entrance plaza, on the north side of campus, near N2 entrance doors. Access the area via 24th Avenue using MState’s main entrance. There is parking adjacent to the sidewalk/plaza to the west and north.

Various Moorhead Parks 
Begins Monday, September 9 at 8am. 
Medallions will be hidden within city limits on public land. Clues will be announced daily on Big 98.7, Bob 95FM, and 107.9 The Fox. Follow the clues for fantastic prizes including a grand prize of $1,000 in gift cards from Hornbacher's! Clue boards will be updated daily at greatermoorheadsdays.com.

Author Visit: Cary Griffith

Join the Moorhead Public Library to hear from author Cary Griffith about his latest book, Gunflint Falling. In honor of the 25th anniversary of the 1999 storm, the book chronicles the story of how a bizarre confluence of meteorological events spread over the Dakotas and eventually devastated the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, injuring approximately 60 people. The author visit is free thanks in part to funding from the Minnesota Legacy Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. Visit Griffith's website for more information.
